Assistant Social Media Manager at EMAAR group (Dubai )

1.JOB PURPOSE

The Assistant Social Media Manager is tasked with mazimising Emaar’s exposure through online channels, copywriting and ensuring customer comments are answered by themselves and the Social Media Executives in accordance with the corporate guidelines.  

Assistant Social Media Manager needs to ensure all Emaar entities are accurately represented online, initiate online marketing activities supporting business plans and objectives of each property to the highest standard.  

Assist in driving and executing the agreed strategies for Emaar social media platforms online communications in accordance with the approved marketing objectives, coordinating with corporate vendors and peers for all Emaar properties and corporate. 

2.JOB DIMENSIONS

Assistant Social Media Managers report to the Senior Digital Marketing & Social Media Manager.  

Assistant Social Media Managers work in partnership with the Assistant Social Content Managers in strategy alignment and content creation.  

7 x Social Media Executives will have a dotted reporting line to the Assistant Social Media Managers and Assistant Social Media Content Managers

3.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Social Media:
• Contribute and implement social media strategy ensuring corporate and brand requirements are adhered to at all times.
• Develops content and monitors company’s social media portals including outside working hours:
o Facebook
o Twitter
o YouTube
o Instagram
o LinkedIn
o Google+
o Pintrest
o TripAdvisor
• Monitors and coordinates online activity to meet the objectives of Emaar group events, entity initiatives and individual brand strategies. Ensures social media platforms are up to date including events and images in all available languages.
• Deliver online campaigns, promotions and equal share of voice for Emaar entities. 
• Ability to think outside the box and devise creative and engaging content to ensure Emaar reinforces their position as the market leader of property development, malls, hotel and community management.  
• Works closely with the graphic design team to develop branded creative to support copy.  
• Online support for Marketing/PR and Customer Relations activities within the business units
• Carry out any other activities related to online marketing as directed by Senior Digital Marketing & Social Media Manager.

Marketing Strategy:
• Assists in developing through the brand and act as guardian of the brand identity. 
• Assists in overseeing all advertising efforts and promotional programs within social media to establish brand awareness, drive customer loyalty and engagement.  
• Participate in online workshops, conferences and networking opportunities to keep abreast with trends within the online field.

Principal Accountabilities:
• Monitors and updates Emaar’s social media portals during and outside normal working hours.
• Explore and develop new opportunities including new concepts or services to generate revenue growth and engagement through social.
• Works within agreed standards and guidelines for all brand communications to ensure consistency and level of quality and objectives are achieved.
• Manage business relationship with entities, agencies and suppliers to ensure deadlines are met and work is developed according to the guidelines whilst ensuring quality
• Generate analytic reports on a regular basis including analysing monthly social media statistics. Set necessary actions and execute accordingly.
• Maintain community guidelines reference log.

4.JOB CONTEXT 

• The Assistant Social Media Manager works internally with (consisting off but not limited to:) Emaar IT, Development, Projects, Facilities Management, Emaar Community Management, Customer Care and subsidiaries: Emaar International, Emaar Malls, Emaar Retail, Emaar Hospitality, Emaar Industries and Investments and externally with contractors, clients, sponsors, suppliers, PR & media agencies. 

 

Qualifications

 
5. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s Degree 
• Minimum 2 years of Digital/Social Media/Customer Relations Experience 
• Should have leadership & motivation skills, strategic thinking and project management skills
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent English and Arabic language skills required. 
• Strong knowledge of digital analytic tools
